You Disappointed Me

Hello all you gorgeous readers here I am to review another Garnier product.

In my last Garnier blog I was excited to tell you guys how lovely was the fall fight range, but this time Garnier has disappointed me.

I am talking about the “Goodbye Damage” range of Garnier.

I love Garnier range of shampoos but the goodbye damage range makes me wonder ‘does goodbye actually mean a goodbye to damage ?’

Product description : Just like all other Garnier shampoos this one too comes in an opaque and flip cap open bottle; orange in colour. The shampoo is white in colour and has a runny consistency.
image

Ingredients : Water, Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Glycol Distearate, Sodium Chloride, Amodimethicone, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Niancinamide, Sugarcane Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol, Sodium Hydroxide, PPG-5-Ceteth-20, Trideceth-6, Salicylic Acid, Limonene, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate, Benzyl Alcohol, Apple Fruit Extract, Carbomer, Pyridoxine HCI, Citric Acid, Cetrimonium Chloride, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Lemon Peel Extract, Hexyl Cinnamal, Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit Extract, Fragrance.

My view about this product : Hmmmmmmmmmmmm what can I say! There’s nothing good about this product. It claims to strengthen your hair 3 times more from root to tip. Sad enough it doesn’t at all live up to its claims. Moreover you end up with more damage to your hair.

It doesn’t lather that well and it gives you a sticky feel after wash. It makes the hair dull and dry that breaks easily.

The only good thing is the fragrance. It has a lovely fragrance that stays onΒ  the entire day.

So ladies do not fall for its cute packaging because the cute looking shampoo wouldn’t make your hair look cute in return.

I will give this product just 1/5 starΒ  for its lovely fragrance.

That’s all for now. Do wait for my next blog I am going to introduce you to one of my newest love and I am sure you guys too will love it.

Till then stay healthy and be smart before you fall for cute products. Cya πŸ™‚

I Love Garnier

Hello everyone,

Here I come with an exciting product by Garnier. Well Garnier is well known for its wide range of products and most of us just love them, don’t we ? πŸ™‚

If you talk about me , l love Garnier range of shampoos. I keep switching from one to the other range of Garnier shampoos. And to be honest all of them give me almost the same results, its just that fragrance keep changing πŸ˜€

Today I am going to review the Garnier fructis fall fight fortifying range of shampoo.

Well, hair fall is one such problem that almost every 2nd woman is suffering from. Some of us just let it be, while some try many different products and treatments; in the course they end up having severe hair fall. Its OK if you just let it be but if the problem is severe you can always consult a professional. Frankly speaking there is no such shampoo that will give you 100% relief from hair fall but some shampoos can help you control the problem to an extent; Garnier fructis fall fight fortifying shampoo is one of them.

image

Product description and claims : it comes in an opaque green coloured bottle with a flip cap. The shampoo is creamy white in colour. It has a perfect consistency, not too thick not too runny. It has a mild fragrance which stays for some while after wash. It doesn’t lather easily so a large quantity is required.

What it claims? It claims to strengthen your hair fibres from within and protect your hair from breakage.

Ingredients :

image

Active fruit concentrate
Fructose + glucose, vitamins B3 + B6 nourishes hairs from the roots
AHAs strengthen the hair fibre.

My Take on this : hmmmm yes it does stands up to its claims to an extent. Now, to an extent I mean is , it doesn’t give 100% relief from hair fall but to a great extent it controls the problem. May be by regular use it might give you 100% relief but do not assure you on this because I don’t stick to the same range for long. I love all range of Garnier shampoos so alternatively use all of them.

Besides it doesn’t leave your hair dry and dull looking. It makes your hair smooth soft and healthy looking. It cleans your scalp and hair thoroughly maintaining the PH balance.

The only thing you might not like about it is that it contains SLS.

It has all the nice qualities that a good shampoo must have so I give it 5/5 stars

So now you know why ‘I Love Garnier’. As Garnier always say ‘Take Care’ until my next post Cya πŸ™‚

I know you guys are wondering if I made a mistake in the title?? Lol not at all. You will understand why I did so at the end of this blog post.

Product Description :
It comes in a white opaque bottle with light green shades on it. It has a flip cap open cover. Its packaging is so cute and tempting that it is sure to catch your attention and you will want to have it needlessly.

Coming to the shampoo part, the shampoo is white in colour with perfect consistency ; not too thick, not too runny; it has soothing light fragrance that stays in hair for a while. It lathers pretty well.

My Opinion:
Very well advertised, catchy name; “SUNSILK NATURAL RECHARGE” ; cute packaging. πŸ™‚
But but but unfortunately the product doesn’t meet up to its claims. In fact you end up having more hair fall than you would otherwise have. Its just not worth giving a try.
I would give it 1/5 stars. One star just for its advertising and packaging.
Well you can share your experience and opinions too by commenting on this blog. Will be blogging about one of the bests products I’ve come across up till now very soon. So we it for it and I am sure whoever has tried it will definitely agree with me. Cya πŸ™‚

Milk & Honey Gold Creamy Soap Bar

Hello everyone,

Here I am with another amazing product from oriflame. i.e
. Milk & Honey Gold Creamy Soap Bar. The name itself makes you feel like ‘want it’, isn’t it..? πŸ™‚

Packaging & quantity :- as you can see in the image bellow it comes in a creamy white box and it looks quite attractive. One soap bar contains 75g of the product.

20131013-191416.jpg

20131013-191445.jpg

20131013-191531.jpg
It has a mild and a very nice fregerance.

Ingredients :-

20131013-192008.jpg

Pros :-
1) Indeed, just as the name suggests, it is a creamy soap and though being creamy it washes off easily. Lathers well
2) Leaves your skin clean and bright.
3) Moisturises and softens your skin
4) Nice mild fregerance.
5) Attractive and neat packaging.

Cons :- As such I don’t see or find any cons but one thing is strange and common about all oriflame products. Oriflame claims its products to be natural but it’s ingredient list suggests of having so many chemicals. I don’t know how far these chemicals are harmless/harmful but yeah so far no one has complaint about any side effects from this product. Infact it’s the most liked product of oriflame. I personally have been using this product from the past 2 1/2 years and can say for sure it lives up to its claims. πŸ™‚

Conclusion :- another reason why I love this product is because it has the goodness of milk and honey. As we know, and for those who are unaware, milk has a very good cleansing agent and honey has anti-microbial properties. These two (milk and honey) works wonders on your skin. And as far as the ingredients (chemicals) are concerned I appreciate oriflame to display their entire list of ingredients, unlike some other brands who hide their chemical part.

This soap is suitable for all skin type. And since it is very gentle it will cause no harm to sensitive skin. Though all age-groups can use this soap I would suggests kids above 10 years only should use it

I give this product 5/5 stars

That’s all for for now see you all soon with some other products good bye stay healthy πŸ™‚

Pure Nature Organic Blueberry And Lavender Face Creami

Hello everyone,

Here I am lets get started with the review of the pure nature organic blueberry and lavender face cream from Oriflame.

PACKAGING AND APPLICATION-

20130818-130936.jpg

20130818-131023.jpg

It’s a day and night cream. A light weight creamy white coloured cream. The tub contains 75ml cream in it. It has a sweet pleasant fragrance.
Apply a small amount on the face after cleansing and toning in the morning and night.

INGREDIENTS- Aqua, ethylhexyl stearate, glycerin, cetearyl alcohol, acetylated lanolin, butyrospermum parkii butter, cetyl alcohol, peg-20 stearate, phenoxyethanol, tetrahydroxypropyl ethylenediamine, carbomer, imidazolidinyl urea, parfum, methylparaben, propylparaben, ethylparaben, lavandula angustifolia extract, vaccinium myrtillus extract, linalool, potassium sorbate, ci 17200, ci 42090

PROS-
1) 100% organic in nature.
2) Day and night cream
3) Easily absorbs in the skin
4) Pleasant fragrance
5) Moisturises and leaves the skin Kooning radiant

CONS-
1) Contains parabens
2) Makes the skin oily after an hour or so.

SUMMARY- Hmmm, well the ingredient list scares me. Still a good enough cream, which won’t have any bad effects on your skin. Though Oriflame claims it to be for all skin type, it would suit dry skin best. It won’t do any bad to sensitive and normal skin too. Not recommended for oily skin since it would make your skin oily after sometime. It’s a day and night cream so you don’t need to have two different creams for the day and night. Overall it doesn’t cause any breakouts so sensitive skin people don’t need to think twice before using it.

I would rate this blueberry and lavender cream 4/5 stars πŸ™‚

That’s all for now. See you all very soon with another review. Till then stay healthy and gorgeous….!

Pure nature organic blueberry and lavender toner

Hello everyone,

I am back with another Oriflame product review. Last time I had reviewed the blueberry an lavender face wash and had also mentioned about its toner and face cream. So here I am, today I am going to review the PURE NATURE ORGANIC BLUEBERRY AND LAvENDER EXTRACT CALMING TONER.
For who didn’t see my last post I have uploaded the set of the blueberry and lavender products bellow

20130813-151625.jpg

Starting the review with its packaging and price
PACKAGING AND PRICE- Of course it looks cute. It comes in a sturdy, transparent bottle, with a white cap. You can see its image bellow. Oriflame offers many discounts every month so the price of the products keeps fluctuating every now and then

20130813-152642.jpg

DIRECTIONS FOR USE- Apply it with the help of a cotton ball after each time you wash your face with a cleanser or a face wash.

INGREDIENTS – AQUA, PEG 40, HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, GLYCERIN, PHENOXYETHANOL, IMIDAZOLIDINYL UREA, PARFUM, PANTHENOL, SODIUM CITRATE, METHYLPARABEN, DISODIUM EDTA, PROPYLPARABEN, ETHYLPARABEN, LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA EXTRACT, LINALOOL, VACCINIUM MYRTILLUS EXTRACT, CITRIC ACID, SODIUM HYALURONATE, CI 17200 CI42090.

PROS
1) Travel friendly
2) Cute packaging
3) Good fragrance
4) 100% organic in nature
5) Doesn’t cause any break outs or irritation to the skin.
6) Can be Used by all skin type people

CONS- If I start listing the cons, it would be a long list so I will sum up the cons in my summary. Here I will just list main cons of this product
1) It has parabens
2) Too many chemicals

SUMMARY – The main characteristic of a toner is to tighten the pores. Since I don’t have any major problem about large pores, I can not tell you for sure if this toner tightens the pores or not. Coming to the other claims, oriflame says that the blueberry and lavender toner calms the skin, makes it soft and prepares the skin for the application of skin. I don’t think this toner lives up to its claims. After applying the toner I don’t get any calming feel. The skin feels a bit sticky after application. It makes the skin look dull, in fact the skin looks more radiant before applying it.

I would give this product 2 stars out of 5 just for the cute look and pleasant fragrance.

Cya lovely readers Ela would b back soon with her review on the blueberry and lavender cream.

Where can you find Oriflame products..?
You can avail Oriflame products from Oriflame distributors/consultants/members world wide. You can even get Oriflame products directly from the Oriflame outlets in your city, if you are an Oriflame member.

Summary- Before purchasing any skin-care products, it is always best to choose the products that would suit your skin type. This would give you the best results. Though the catelogue suggests the blueberry and lavender face wash is for all skin type, it would best suit normal-dry and sensitive skin people. It is an extremely mild face wash so it doesn’t remove makeup properly.

I would rate this face wash 3.5 stars out of 5
